Fatherhood Tip # 1

Playtex Drop In Bottles do NOT have a bottom to them. One should not try to pour formula into one of these bottles. They are called Drop Ins because you drop in a plastic pouch that has the formula in it. If you try to pour formula straight into the bottle, it will end up on your feet.

Picture Album

Here is where I stored the pictures, since I could not get to the blog at the hospital. Since it is already setup, I'll just let everybody use the link above to check them out. Enjoy.

Another Batch of pictures

Here is another batch of pictures. There is one of me feeding Molly via "Finger Feeding", another one of me is scrubs getting ready to go to the O.R. and one of Nicole being prepped for the O.R. the last one is of the scale they used to see how much Molly weighed.

Hello World

Molly Eowyn Speed joined us Thursday March 26th at 12:22 am. She was 8 lbs and 15.4 ounces, was 20 3/4" long and is doing wonderfully. She is a joy and we are so thankful to God and to all of our friends and family for all the support we have received. Thank You All.

(I will be posting more when I can. They said that there would be internet available at the hospital, but nobody can seem to find it. Until we do posts will be random.)

Dr. Appointment

Nicole just left the doctor's office. Everything is fine. Baby Molly is still healthy. No signs of labor yet. Everybody please pray that we deliver this weekend because if we don't we are scheduled to go to the hospital on Monday night at 5 pm for induction. If there are any changes I will update with a new post. Until then we appreciate you thoughts and prayers.

The waiting is the hardest part.

Tom Petty had it right when he penned those lyrics.

Dr. Trogolo is threatening induction this coming Monday at 5 pm if Molly hasn't arrived by then, which has us a little frazzled, because we do not wish to be induced if possible. So now not only are we waiting, the shot clock is winding down. Which is a little frustrating when you don't have control.

Other than that we are doing just fine. Nicole is uncomfortable and a little on edge, but her spirits are still up and we are still keeping a positive mental attitude (which is the most important thing). So we will let every body know when something changes. Until then, stay tuned.

Status Quo

We went to the doctor today and there is no change. The doctor wants us to come back on Thursday to check everything once more and if there is still no progress he wants to induce labor next Monday night/ Tuesday morning. So we need everybody to pray that Molly decides to come before next Monday, because we do not wish for Nicole to be induced. There are just way too many complications with induction. So after the doctor, Nicole is heading on a long walk at the mall (and maybe a movie). Then I 'm going to take her on a walk again (maybe with lunges mixed in and some heavy marching and high stepping) :-) I'll keep everybody up to date as things progress.
